DANGEROUS FACTS OF USING FLUORESCENT AND INCANDESCENT BULBS How many times has a fluorescent or incandescent light bulb broke in our homes or work place ? How many of us realize that we are putting family members and co-workers at risk by using fluorescent or incandescent bulbs ? According to Environment Canada, if a fluorescent or incandescent light bulb breaks, a hazardous material removal contractor should be called in to clean up the broken bulb because of the mercury it contains. Mercury is a hazardous material even in small amounts can cause fatal issues in humans. IF A FLUORESCENT OR INCANDESCENT BULB GETS BROKEN DO NOT Do not use a vacuum cleaner to clean up mercury.
