IRS is committed to meeting the needs of Engineering and Maintenance of Way departments as well as the Mechanical, Signal and Bridge departments across the United States. Founded in 1966, Industry-Railway Suppliers, Inc. was established to service the needs of the railroads, railroad maintenance facilities, shortlines and railroad contractors in the Eastern United States. In 1978 IRS opened an office and warehouse in Bensenville (Chicago), IL to service the western railroad industry. In 1988 IRS was acquired by Unity Railway Supply Co. Inc. In 1994, our headquarters were relocated from Cleveland, OH to Bensenville, IL.  In fall of 2016 we relocated to a larger facility in Elmhurst, IL to position the company for future growth. Our goal of providing safe, high quality, cost effective solutions, unrivaled customer service and field sales support remains our focus to the railroad industry. Our experienced staff is solely dedicated to meeting your needs with a full range of products and applications. We strive to take our customer suggestions and turn them into reality. When applicable, all products are produced in accordance with AREMA specifications and or tailored to specific individual railroad needs.
