: Opis.: ABOUT AA GEAR Founded in 1970 as Michigan Automatic Turning, Inc. (MATI) was a manufacturing company that developed expertise in splines, shafts and geared parts through business with the Agricultural, Construction, Heavy Duty Engine, Automotive, Marine & Industrial Markets. By 1990, MATI grew from a small service parts provider to a TierI manufacturing company with Recognized Customer Quality Ratings. MATI had grown to become a vertically integrated batch manufacturing company to service our customers in a variety of markets. MATI’s primary location was in New Hudson, MI (NW of Detroit). In 2009, MATI purchased Capital Equipment Required for Gear Finishing and Gear Inspection. Now, with state-of-the-art CNC Gear Grinding and Inspection Capability our customers continue to receive unsurpassed precision & reliability from MATI. In 2011 Additional Assets were purchased that brought diversification into the petrochemical, defense and textile industries. Acquiring precision ground prototype and aerospace gear and pump manufacturing expertise, MATI brings more technical knowledge into the gear making arena of our business. Additionally, MATI moved to Howell, MI (NW of Detroit) in 2011, encompassing all of our Capital Assets & Capabilities into one Modern Manufacturing Facility. Our present location at 1045 Durant Drive brought us a State-of-the-Art 112,000 square feet of manufacturing space and room to grow. Our move to Howell not only brought all of our operations together under one modern manufacturing facility but also brought with it a new identity for our organization. Moving forward, MATI and all of its parts became AA Gear & Manufacturing.
