Established in 2001 as a manufacturer of custom wood stair and railing parts, StairSupplies™ quickly grew into a top manufacturer of classic custom stair parts and contemporary railing systems. Owners Len and Marci Morris founded the family business with a focus on craftsmanship and trust, and kept it thriving by incorporating innovation and excellence in every facet of their business. The Morris’, along with the help of their management staff, help StairSupplies™ fulfill each customer’s vision every day. They encourage their staff to achieve excellence so that our clients receive superior products custom-made for their projects.

To provide our customers with the best stair and railing products on the market, StairSupplies™ is dedicated to maintaining an impressive team of craftsmen who use premium materials to create our products.

Our team is comprised of local craftsmen who bring a variety of talents to our shop every day. We invite our employees to build on their existing talents and challenge them to develop new skills. From material selection to the finishing touches, our team promises to put their skills to use, so you receive products that exceed expectations.

The quality of the products we build is only as good as the raw materials that we use. From the moment it arrives in our shop, StairSuppliesTM carefully examines lumber to ensure that it will meet our rigid strength and aesthetic expectations. For exotic wood species, we have partnered with Paxton Lumber, one of the largest suppliers of exotic lumber in the Midwest. Many of the domestic wood species are grown near the shop and are sourced through local sawmills. In every case, we examine the moisture content, grain patterns, and color to give the customer a superior product.

Just as our wood craftsmen handle our custom wood products, the Viewrail product line is cared for by our team of welders, powder coaters, and robotics experts who keep the posts clean and uniform from the beginning of their production to the time they arrive at your home. Our skilled team of professionals is the reason so many customization options are available for our modern railing systems. In addition, we’ve implemented extra cleaning and purifying procedures to our production process, so when you order anything from the Viewrail product line, you’re sure to receive a premium product that will impress your guests and withstand the test of time.
